Mauricio Perea is an educator, community leader, and autism advocate with over 25 years of experience working with autistic children, youth, and families. Born in Mexico City, he immigrated to the United States in 1988 and has dedicated his professional life to education, inclusion, and community empowerment. Mauricio worked for nearly two decades at Boston Market, advancing from kitchen aide to Regional Training Manager, before focusing fully on education and advocacy. He is serving as a Special Education Teacher’s Assistant with Framingham Public Schools at BLOCKS from 1998 to present.
Mauricio is a member of the Autism Alliance a program of Advocates Advisory Board, the Vice-chair of the Framingham Cultural Council and a member of the Framingham History Center Board of Directors, and FCCCD Board of Directors member. In recognition of his leadership, he was honored at the Massachusetts Latino Excellence Awards at the State House. His work centers on autism, neurodiversity, and culturally responsive community engagement. Mauricio is a watercolor fan and art admirer.
